Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 August 2026 · Applies to getfeepay.com and the FeePay app

1. Introduction

FeePay / GetFeePay (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of users who interact with the FeePay service. FeePay and GetFeePay are the product / brand names used for this service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use the FeePay mobile application, website (getfeepay.com), or related services.

By using FeePay, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Applicability

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed through the FeePay platform, including its web and mobile interfaces. FeePay helps Customers (such as coaching centres, academies, tuition classes, and similar education businesses) streamline recurring fee collection, tracking, and financial automation, and communicate with parents or students about fees.

Depending on how FeePay is used, we may process personal data:

Where a Customer (centre / academy) uploads student, parent, or member information, that Customer typically acts as the data controller for those records. FeePay processes that data to provide the service on the Customer’s instructions. We implement appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect collected data.

3. Information we collect

The personal information we collect depends on your interaction with FeePay.

Account & Customer data

Data entered by Customers for fee management

Payments setup (required for online collection)

Before a Customer can collect money online from students (payment links / WhatsApp reminders), we collect settlement and compliance details:

Offline recording of cash or direct UPI payments may still be available before these details are submitted. Additional KYC / KYB documents may be requested later by us or our payment partners when settlement or gateway onboarding requires them.

Technical data

4. How we use personal information

We use personal data only for legitimate business purposes, including:

We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for third-party advertising. We do not send marketing messages unrelated to the service without appropriate consent.

5. WhatsApp communications

With a Customer’s instruction, FeePay may send WhatsApp messages to contact mobile numbers for:

Messages are delivered through WhatsApp Business providers under Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform policies. Customers should only message contacts who have provided their number and consented to receive communication about fees. Recipients can ask the Customer (or us) to stop WhatsApp messages; we honour opt-out requests that we can action on the platform.

6. SMS and OTP

We may send one-time passwords (OTP) and, where needed, fallback SMS via providers such as MSG91 for login and account security.

7. Payments

Online payments (when enabled) are processed by licensed payment partners. Card and UPI credentials are handled by the payment partner — FeePay does not store full card numbers on its servers.

8. Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share personal data only as needed to provide the service and as permitted by applicable law:

Service providers

We may share data with third-party providers who support our operations (for example cloud hosting such as AWS, SMS / OTP providers, WhatsApp Business providers, and payment gateways), on a need-to-know basis and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Customer / business entity

Where your use of FeePay is managed by a Customer (such as a coaching centre or academy), personal data related to that Customer’s account and the students / parents / members they manage may be accessible to that Customer and its authorised staff, in line with their use of FeePay.

Legal compliance

We may disclose personal data where required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or governmental / regulatory requests, or where disclosure is necessary to enforce our rights, investigate or prevent fraud or security issues, or protect the rights, property, or safety of FeePay, our users, or others.

9. Data security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures appropriate to our stage and risk, including:

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use strong account hygiene and protect devices used to access FeePay.

10. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary:

When retention is no longer required, personal data is deleted or anonymised in a manner consistent with our operational and legal constraints. Customers may request account deletion; some records may need to be retained where the law requires.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable laws (including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, where applicable), you may have rights such as:

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@getfeepay.com. If your data was submitted to FeePay by a Customer (centre / academy), please also contact that organisation directly — they typically control those records.

12. Cookies and tracking technologies

The FeePay website and app may use cookies or similar tools to:

We do not use cookies for third-party advertising. You can control cookie preferences through your browser or device settings; some features may not work if cookies are disabled.

13. Children’s privacy

FeePay is designed for use by centres and adult account holders, not for children to create accounts themselves. Centres may store student information (including minors) for fee management. We process that data only as instructed by the Customer for fee-related purposes. We do not knowingly market directly to children.

If you believe a child’s personal data has been provided inappropriately, contact the Customer who submitted the data and/or email us at hello@getfeepay.com so we can help review and, where appropriate, delete the data subject to legal retention requirements.

14. International data transfers

FeePay is primarily operated for customers in India. We may use cloud or service providers that process data in India or other countries. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps and contractual measures appropriate to the transfer and applicable law.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, applicable laws, or business operations. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date and become effective upon publication, unless otherwise required by law. Continued use of FeePay after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
